Travelling to San Francisco

Travelling to San Francisco is certainly one of the most exciting adventures for an explorer. This technologically forward city is juxtaposed with breathtaking views and peaceful natural surroundings.

The diverse culture of San Francisco offers visitors a plethora of experiences from bars, food, activities, and sights. It can be overwhelming at first, but once acclimated, you will find the city is relatively easy to navigate and discover the unique personalities of each of San Francisco’s neighborhoods.

San Francisco has a very active bar scene. You will find that most bars are busy during happy hours after work and weekends. For a timeless icon, check out Vesuvio Café in North Beach. This historical bar was founded in 1948 and celebrates a chock-full of famous characters from its glorious past in the golden area.

Food



If you are a seafood lover, San Francisco has got you covered. Take a stroll in scenic Pier 39 at Fisherman’s Wharf and you will find countless oceanic restaurants aimed at tourists and locals alike. If you are an oyster fan, make sure to check out Hog Island Oysters at the Ferry Building or visit their Oyster Farm in Marshall just 1.5 hours from SF for an impromptu BBQ.

Activities



San Francisco offers many unique activities. Take a trip to the Exploratorium and check out cool science exhibits that you can play with. Or grab a few friends and head over to Reason to challenge your mental dexterity in the world’s first future technology escape room. Sights



A trip to San Francisco is not complete until you’ve taken a few selfies with the Golden Gate Bridge and a clam chowder bread bowl in your hand. Ok maybe the chowder is extra, but while you are at it, why not go across the bridge and venture into the Red Woods where Caesar from Planet of the Apes made his base in the movie. Muir Woods offer daily shuttles that will get you in and out in a jiffy.
