You have probably heard of the term SEO before. SEO stands for search engine optimization. It is the ranking your website has on search engine sites like Google and Bing. SEO is so important for your overall marketing strategy because it will allow more people to visit your website and ultimately that will transfer into more paying customers. As long as you have a good-looking website, the more potential customers you have visited your website the more customers you will end up having.
Now that you know why SEO is so important, it’s time to look at some of the quick things you can be doing in order to increase your overall ranking. Keep reading as Decrypted SEO Agency explains how to quickly increase your SEO.
Start blogging
Are you blogging? Blogging is a great way to bring in new readers because it not only allows you to get new content out on your page which Google loves, but it also helps you to show you are relevant and knowledgeable about specific topics. We recommend trying to blog at least once per month. If you don’t seem to have any time to do so, it may be a good idea to hire someone to blog and upload. Try and make your blogs at least 500 words and include at least one picture with it too. This will also help to increase your search engine optimization ranking.
Ensure no grammar mistakes
One thing that can decrease your ranking on Google is if you are making grammar mistakes. With that said, you don’t want to act like you are writing a doctorate each and every time you blog. Write so that an average person can read your blog and make sense of it. You can use a free website like Grammarly to help ensure you don’t have mistakes throughout your blog that can quickly be fixed. By just quickly putting your text on each page into Grammarly or having another employee or an SEO agency read over it, it can really end up helping your Google ranking.
Write at least 300 words per page
Although some people may think it looks cleaner to have just a couple of sentences that sum up your services or products being offered is a good way to go, it will end up costing you. Try and have each page of your website have at least 300 words. If you have more, that is perfectly fine, but you don’t want to have under 300 words. Google sees 300 words as you are informing people about products or services and you are explaining them more. In this time, it allows you to bring up keywords that your target audience is typing into Google. For example, if you are an emergency dentist service, you will want to say emergency dentist or emergency dentist in your specific location at least once but no more than three times in the copy of the page. Google will then be able to connect the two when people go to type that into Google and see you as being a relevant website that the user may want to see when they are searching.
Add pictures
People are visual learners and Google knows this. That is why it is a good idea to add pictures to your picture. At a minimum, you want to add one picture to each page. You can always add more though. You can add them when you are giving examples or talking about an item. Don’t just grab a picture off of Google though. Firstly, because this is illegal. It also is not a good idea because Google will see these images as someone else’s and decrease your ranking. Try and use a website like Pixabay to find good images that are free to use for the public.
Add title on pictures
It’s not just the pictures that you want to add. You also want to add the description and the title on the picture. For example, you have probably saved the picture to something like D404i94K409 and it automatically calls it that when you upload it onto your website. Switch the name of it and call it one of the keywords you have or the keyword phrases. This will let Google know what that picture is all about and actually end up increasing your ranking.
Add headings
Our final tip is to use headers when talking about each page. You can also use headers as you go down the page which will let Google know what each page or each paragraph is about. Google actually sees larger words as more significant so will read them clearer. This is also a great place to place a keyword or a keyword phrase.
As you can see, there are so many different ways to increase the overall ranking of your SEO. If you have not been doing any of these, pick two and start working on them. Try committing to one blog per month and then continuing by moving it to 2 blogs per month. You will see an increase in the number of traffic you get when you are able to stay consistent with your marketing efforts.
