The best relaxing activities to do before bedtime

Relax, it’s the end of the day! You don’t have to do anything anymore, and the good news is, even if you wanted to – chances are you can’t do anything anymore. But nothing is a bigger nightmare (besides actually having a nightmare) than not being able to fall asleep. And sleep, we need. Eat, sleep, work, repeat. Not the best way to spend your days. And it’s very easy to wind down at the end of the day, as long as you know what to do. In this article, we will give you a bit of inspiration so you can fill in your evening routine.

Take care of your bed hygiene

Develop a routine for yourself where you take care of your own ‘bed prepping’. Take a nice hot shower, get into a lavender-filled bath, or light a candle and write down 10 things you are grateful for. This helps our bodies to recognize that it is ok to relax. And to feel fresh and rosy when you step into your bed. Therefore we recommend you make sure that you have the perfect bed for your needs. Time for your evening routine (see step 1). This applies to your social media activity too, by the way. Maybe it’s a good idea to lay your phone a bit further than on your nightstand when you want to sleep. A good place for your phone (on plain mode) might be on this tv cabin in your bedroom

Research shows that it helps people to walk in circles when we walk ‘a round’ our brain gets the idea that we have finished a task. This helps your brain feel safe and ready to relax.
